Ecstatic and blessed to announce we’re having a baby girl late July/early August of 2021!
Currently halfway through the second trimester so things are definitely looking up compared to the first trimester where I spent the majority of the time with my head in the toilet. After the loss of our pregnancy last spring, I have been dealing with some health issues so combined with the morning sickness we were unsure how we were going to fare this time around. I decided to keep the pregnancy to myself for the entire first trimester due to sheer fear of not having a baby to announce after all. Look at us now! Ben + Me = 3 😉
Ben and I both cried the first time we heard her heartbeat. During the sonogram it was mind blowing to see her spine had begun to form. And those cute little feets 🥰
From Dad to be: We just know it takes a village and are thankful for any and all help we’ve received in this journey and just know we can’t thank you enough for the wisdom, advice, and items that will help us in our newfound daily lives.
Super excited for this next chapter and to finally be able to share with you all my pregnancy among other things to come!
Well my dumbass decided to try L’Oréal Colorista; It looked good for a minute before it started to wash out to a green-tinted color that lasted for months. I do not recommend using the blue color for blonde hair. I tried the pink and it washed out fine. BEWARE of blue colors on blonde hair is all I’m saying..
I’ve recently been working with SACC (the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce) as their marketing director!
We have a speaker series where we feature one speaker at an event every month. So far i’ve attended three, but last nights was pretty impressive. The CFO from Ericsson came to speak and we had a sponsor who rented a local in downtown Plano at 34 Events.
Although i was stood by the entrance making sure each guest was registered, i met a lot of influential individuals. I think the total amount who attended was closer to 55-60!
Sometimes having a different heritage is pretty cool. Not so much when one guy read my name tag and went “My SACC… my sack… he he.” …Oh well, you can’t have it all.
“Open up Instagram and see the lives of others, the life we could have. See the places we’re not traveling to. See the lives we’re not living. See the people we’re not dating. We bombard ourselves with stimuli, input, input, input, and we wonder why we’re miserable. We wonder why we’re dissatisfied.”
How we portray ourselves on social media has been a topic for a while now. I heard it when i was in university, how it would affect my career. I was never censored, i was just smart about it. I never put a name to my opinions and i never posted defamatory posts on Facebook. I made sure to delete the entire existence of my high school years online. But today i still suffer from the effects of “the interweb”. I see beautiful people, beautiful pictures, in beautiful places and i want MORE. I’m never enough, my life is never enough.
What i forget is that i take 20 selfies to only post 1 of myself. I scroll through Instagram and see beautiful girls and wish ‘i could be just like them’ when really, its a photograph. I know nothing about their life or whether or not they are happy. What’s to envy?
So i’ve stopped following triggering profiles on social media and i try to stay as genuine as possible. At the end of the day im happy being ME, so why not show my friends the real me? …even if that includes some less than flattering photographs.
